Hello, and welcome to the Newcastle Public Library.
We are located in a small, but fast growing, community just south of Oklahoma City. We just celebrated our 25th anniversary and moved into a brand new building, February 2, 2004. We are committed to customer service with a friendly staff and down home atmosphere.
We have services and programs for all ages: pre-school story times, children’s crafts and book clubs, teen after school activities and adult book discussion groups. Our summer reading programs focus on events for the entire family.
Computers are provided as well as wifi. We have a lap top training lab focusing on introduction to computers and a genealogy work group.
Our active Friends of the Library group helped us furnish our new building and supports our children and adult programs.
Each year we work with the community to provide some cultural activities. Being in the midst of the Chickasaw Nation, our American Indian Festival has become an annual event.
The library is in the same building with the community center and there are rooms to rent for individual events. Among them is a beautiful ballroom which has been used for weddings and receptions.Hope to see you soon.
