Dear PLS Customers,
Welcome to the Pioneer Library System's new website. We are always seeking ways to improve our services - both within our branch library buildings and on our website. This month we are revealing a new version of our website and we would appreciate your comments and suggestions. It is our hope that this website will be easier to use and will give you more opportunities to interact with your library. You may go to "Contact Us" in the menu running down the righthand side of the web page to send us your thoughts.
This fall we added an online Customer Satisfaction Survey to our website. It has given us information about things you like about your library and things you think could be improved. If you have not yet completed the survey - or if you have additional thoughts, please go to "Take Our Survey" in the menu.
Last spring the Pioneer Library System was the recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts "Big Read" grant to promote the reading and discussion of "The Grapes of Wrath" by John Steinbeck. Over 10,000 people participated in library programs and in library and private book discussion groups. This spring we are pleased to offer another "Big Read." This year the book is "Bless Me, Ultima" by Rudolfo Anaya. Watch for the schedule of events coming soon. If you belong to a private book discussion group, be sure to schedule "Bless Me, Ultima" for your group sometime in February, March or April. Books and discussion guides will be available soon.I appreciate your interest in your library and look forward to hearing your ideas and suggestions.
