It's that time of year again! School is about to start, and the library offers several great resources for kids and teens while they start the upcoming academic year. Check out the information below about some of our databases and tutoring opportunities that are available from your hometown library.

Brainfuse

Brainfuse is an excellent database with help for students from kindergarten to 12th grade. Students are able to access a 24-hour online writing lab where they can submit their papers for proof reading. They can also receive live homework assistance from online tutors.

To learn how to use Braifuse, feel free to attend the Brainfuse computer class in Shawnee on September 10th at 6:30 PM. Registration is required in advance to attend.

Learning Express

The Learning Express database provides access to a multitude of practice tests and skill strengthening for students from elementary school to grad school. Whether you're there to learn how to read or prepare for a graduate school entrace exams, Learning Express has something helpful to offer.

For additional information, high school students can attend a computer class in Shawnee on August 29th, September 3rd, October 1st, October 5th, and November 21st at 4:30 PM. This class will will teach attendees how to prepare for the ACT with Learning Express. Registration is required ahead of time.

Tutoring at the Library

Tutoring will be offered at some of the libraries once students get settled into their school routines. Take a look at the list below to see the schedule for a library near you.

Noble Homework Helpers - Students in 1st to 12th grade can receive free tutoring at the Noble Public Library from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM every Tuesday and Thursday while school is in session.
