What's to check out in 2012
Here are just a few of the events we are working on for next year.
Key Ingredients:
Purcell Public Library will proudly host Key Ingredients: America by Food, a Smithsonian Institution traveling exhibit. The exhibit will be on display from January 28, 2012 through March 3, 2012.
Key Ingredients focuses on the evolution of the American kitchen and diet, offering a thoughtful look at how immigrant culture, geographic location, and technological advancement have affected American home cooks as well as American restaurants.
Big Read 2012 - Joy Luck Club:
The Big Read 2012 book, The Joy Luck Club, will kick-off with a public event in the central lobby and bar area of the Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center, 2501 Conference Drive, Norman, OK, from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 29.
Enhanced Catalog Features:
Your hometown libraries are always striving to better our services. And we need your help in our latest endeavor.
Based on the feedback we've received on the 'new' library catalog, which premiered in July 2011, we have been working on some enhancements to help make it easier for you to locate the books, videos and other hometown library resources you regularly use.
We are looking for individuals who will Beta Test the newest catalog features.
