Happy Thanksgiving! This November, we have several hometown library programs and some excting system-wide events for you. Click on the branch name, to the right, to see a full calendar of events for your hometown library. And be sure to note the library closings for this month.

Winter Read

top ten books Starting November 13 and running through the end of February, you can participate in our first ever winter reading program, Winter Read!

The PLS Winter Read doesn't require you to come to any special events. In fact, should the weather get bad, you can do it all from home! All you need to do is visit www.justsoyouknow.us/winterread and register to start tracking your winter reads.

When you register, sign up for the special Winter Read eNewsletter for announcements of hometown library Winter Read events, local book groups, and books we will be discussing on Facebook.

Oh! Did we mention PRIZES? Register and keep track of your winter reads to be entered in a drawing for 1 of 4 Winter Read gift baskets.

Food for Fines

Last year your hometown libraries raised 3.3 tons of non-perishable foods for local food pantries. This year we need your help in beating that figure.

From November 13 - 21, your hometown libraries will accept non-perishable boxed or canned food items to waive late fees.

One canned/boxed food donated equals $1 in library fines. The maximum amount that can be waived is $20.

So mark your calendar and gather those non-perishable food items - help us help those in our hometowns who are in need!
