Want to help them develop the masterpiece inside?
MasterPieces is a program sponsored by the Moore Public Library in partnership with the University of Oklahoma School of Library and Information Studies* and Rotary Club of Moore. It is an innovative art, music, food and fitness program designed to help pre-teens and teens. A child qualifies for this program if they attend a Title 1 School in the Moore Public Schools District.
What does MasterPieces entail? From 2 p.m. - 3 p.m. students will have the opportunity to hang with creative individuals and learn new skills. From 3 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. they will then have the chance to play games and work on homework with OU mentors. They'll have access to computers for study or leisure. It's a safe environment, at the Moore Public Library, to gain a scholastic leg-up while having food and fun.
MasterPieces runs October 2, 2011 through November 20, 2011.
If you know of a child who qualifies and would like to recommend them for inclusion in the MasterPieces program please call 793-4347 for additional information or to reserve their spot.
