Community groups are encouraged to use the meeting room at the Noble Public Library for educational, cultural, and civic purposes. Meetings may not be scheduled for purely commercial purposes. Priority is given to programs and meetings sponsored by the library.
No charge is made for use of the room, but groups must agree to meet the following requirements:
1. All meetings are free and open to the public.
2. Groups may reserve the room for one meeting at a time, up to three months in advance. Only with the approval of the branch manager may multiple meetings be scheduled.
3. In order to reserve the room, a contact person for the group must visit the library, complete a meeting room reservation form, and agree to abide by the Meeting Room Policy.
4. Nothing may be attached to the walls, ceiling, doors, or lights.
5. No open flames.
6. No Silly String.
7. Groups using the room after the library is closed are responsible for the security of the lobby and the meeting room. Doors will lock automatically. If there is a problem, groups should call the Noble Police for assistance at 872-9231.
8. Groups using the room for an early morning meeting before the library opens must visit the library the day before their meeting and check out a library key. The contact person is responsible for returning the key to the staff.
9. Refreshments and food may be served during meetings. No Alcohol. The meeting room includes a kitchen area. The kitchen is intended for serving purposes only. There is no stove. An ice maker, refrigerator/freezer, and a microwave are available.
10. Each group is responsible for cleaning the kitchen counters, washing and placing in the sink drainer any kitchen items used. Trash is to be bagged and taken to the dumpster. The dumpster is on the West side of the building. Trash bags and basic cleaning supplies are available in the kitchen.
11. Each group is responsible for maintaining the condition of the meeting room and the equipment they used.
12. The meeting room capacity is 120. Tables and Chairs are to be put away at the end of your event.
13. Some audio visual and sound system equipment is available for use. Requests for equipment should be made at the time the room is reserved.
14. Attendance cards are in the top drawer closest to the refrigerator. Please complete a card for your event and leave in the drawer.
Instructions for Use of the Meeting Room When the Library Is Closed:
The group must complete a reservation form during regular library hours prior to the meeting. The key will be checked out to the Contact Person for the group the day prior to the meeting. Arrangements for equipment must be made at this time as well.
For meetings concluding after the library closes:
All persons must exit the building through the meeting room lobby. The group must make sure that the doors have automatically locked. If there is difficulty with this, please notify the Police at 872-9231.
