Getting a library card, for use at any of the Pioneer Library System's hometown libraries is as easy as:
- Completing an Application for Library Card form at one of the hometown libraries.
- For Adults (18 and older or emancipated minors):
- Present identification which shows your current address
- Valid forms of ID include the following:
- Valid driver's license
- Personalized checks
- Auto insurance verification
- Utility bills or receipts postmarked within 30 days
- If you are in doubt about any other form of ID please contact your hometown library.
- If you do not have a form of ID - library cards will be mailed to customers.
- For Minors (under the age of 18)
- Signature of a parent or guardian
- Signature is acknowledgment of responsibility for library materials checked out by the child or young adult
- Contact your hometown library for additional information.

An adult may borrow two items before his/her address if verified
Minors cannot check out library materials or access the Internet without a parental signature. Materials waiting check-out can be held for a child until a parent/guardian has signed the child's card.
