Tacos, enchiladas, and salsa, oh my! Calling all teens: join the experts from the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service for this hands-on cooking class to be held Thursday, April 3 at 6:30 p.m. at the Moore Public Library.
Teens will learn about the foods of the Southwest, the spices that give them a kick, and ways they can enjoy preparing some of their favorite dishes and snacks. “Cooking workshops presented by the Extension Service are always a big hit,” says Cathy Adams, Teen Librarian and Head of TAG (Teen Action Group) for the library, “this cooking experience really promotes a sense of self-sufficiency and independence in the kitchen. And, it is so much fun.”
All supplies are provided, but space is limited. Registration is required; visit the library, or call 793-4349. Teen Summer Volunteer applications will available all during the month of April.
