boy hugging earthBe a part of “Operation Earthforce” as the Blanchard Public Library welcomes experts from Science Museum Oklahoma in a program at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 17.

The program is geared to elementary school age children.

Participants will learn about many of the elemental forces that shape the planet, with demonstrations on volcanoes, geysers and earthquakes. There also will be a chance to test skills against the power of the museum’s “earthquake table.”

The program is part of the library’s continuing series of Summer Reading Program events taking place with the theme “Dig into Reading.” It is sponsored by the Friends of the Blanchard Library.

For more information on the programs and services offered at the library, call 485-2275.
