The Moore Public Library is looking toward a trip back to space with the program Robots for Exploring the Moon and Mars, at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, in Room B of the library, 225 S. Howard Ave. The discussion is for ages 18 and up.
Dr. David P. Miller, Professor and Wilkonson Chair of Intelligent Systems at the University of Oklahoma, will share his expertise on the subject.

The Moore Public Library invites area teens to a morning of getting back to their inner child and building their own robot, with its Lego Mindstorm Robot program, at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, in the Conference Room of the library, 225 S. Howard Ave.
Participants will work together to build a variety of Lego creatures and robots using several Lego Mindstorms kits. The kits contain software that will help teens build a programmable robot.
All the supplies are provided by library staff, but space for the program is limited.

The Moore Public Library has set its schedule for free computer classes for August. Each class takes place in the Computer Training Center of the library, 225 S. Howard Ave.

Even though summer is wrapping up, the Moore Public Library’s Children’s Department still has plenty going on, from a variety of programming for children and families to its extension of collection of books, DVDs and materials for the library’s youngest guests.
The upcoming programming schedule in August features many family favorites, including:
Family Story Time – activities, stories and more for the whole family – 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2 and 16.
