The Moore Public Library invites library cardholders to go on the road to the Moore Community Garden, a block north of the library on Howard Street, for a pair of morning programs on Saturday, Aug. 9.
Staff will lead a Seed Exchange at 9 a.m., with giveaways not just of seed packets but also books about gardening for health and the healthy benefits that come from gardening. The event is for ages 18 and up.
At 10 a.m., teens are invited to learn about Composting for organic gardening. Representatives from the Cleveland County Master Gardeners will help participants create a working compost that the community garden can share.
Registration is required separately for each program.
For more information, or to register, visit the library or call 793-5100.
