The Moore Public Library goes on the road into the community for a Healthy Cooking Bootcamp, set for 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, at the Nottingham Apartment Complex, 2444 N. Nottingham Way in Moore.
Representatives from Food for Thought Learning Institute will be onsite to present the boot camp. They’ll give easy, quick and healthy ideas for making meals from several basic pantry staples.
All materials will be provided and registration is not required in advance to attend.
Food for Thought has toured the Pioneer Library System the previous two summers, providing classes on making healthy meals on a budget and maximizing supplies in the kitchen.
The program is made possible by a health literacy grant from the Oklahoma Department of Libraries and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
For more information on any of the programs and services offered through the Moore Public Library, visit the library at 225 S. Howard Ave. or call 793-5100.
