Moore Reads group discusses “Olive Kitteridge”

CoverThe Moore Reads Book Discussion Group will look at the Pulitzer Prize-winning book “Olive Kitteridge,” at its next discussion, set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 28, in the Conference Room of the Moore Public Library, 225 S. Howard Ave.

“Olive Kitteridge” by Elizabeth Strout was published in 2008, and received much acclaim, including the 2009 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and was a finalist for the 2008 National Book Critics Circle Award. It is a collection of 13 short stories following the life of the title character in a small town in Maine.

 

The Moore Reads group meets monthly to look at a different book. The July selection is “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coehlo. Copies of the book are available for checkout at the library’s Information Desk.

The group will review “The Scent of Rain and Lightning” by Nancy Pickard, in August.
