The Moore Public Library has announced its schedule for free computer classes during August. Classes take place in the Computer Training Center of the library, 225 S. Howard Ave.
Registration is required for each individual class. To register, call the library at 793-4349, visit the library, or register online at the Events Calendar .
The schedule includes:
Aug. 6, 9:30 a.m. – Computer Basics - An introduction to the computer with practice using a mouse.
Aug. 9, 9:30 a.m. – Internet Basics Part 1 - An introduction to the internet. Learn basic browser and toolbar functions, and practice web surfing.
Aug 13, 9:30 a.m. – Email Basics - Learn the basics of using e-mail, including reading, sending, and deleting messages. Receive assistance with signing up for a free e-mail address.
Aug. 16, 9:30 a.m. – Advanced Email - Learn advanced options of using e-mail. Includes working with folders and attachments. E-Mail Basics or equivalent is a prerequisite.
Aug. 20, 9:30 a.m. – eBay Basics: Buying - Learn the basics of setting up an eBay account, how to shop wisely, and the mysteries of bidding. Intermediate computer skills recommended.
Aug. 23, 9:30 a.m. – eBay Basics: Selling - Learn how to research items to sell on eBay, set your price, navigate the sea of shipping options and cash in! Intermediate computer skills recommended.
Aug. 27, 9:30 a.m. – Basic Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 - An introduction to the presentation software Microsoft PowerPoint 2010. Participants will create a small presentation. Intermediate computer skills are recommended.
