Moore commemorates Mexican holiday at annual Culture Jam
The Moore Public Library brings some Mexican culture inside its doors as its annual Culture Jam commemorates El Dia de los Muertos – The day of the Dead- from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, in Rooms A and B of the library, 225 S. Howard Ave.
The event features a variety of family-friendly activities throughout the afternoon.
At noon, musical duo Alegria Real will entertain the audience with its music. From 1 to 2 p.m., students from Moore’s Platt College will give demonstrations of various types of cultural food. And from 2 to 3 p.m., library staff will present a variety of craft projects and share stories from cultural books.
And, guests should check out the library’s Story Time Room to see an art exhibit presented by students from Southmoore High School.
Registration is not required to attend the event.
