Newcastle Friends to host Book Sale
The Friends of the Newcastle Library will host a Book Sale May 17-19 at the library, 705 NW 10th St.
The sale begins during library hours from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 17 with a members-only sale for Friends group members. During the entire sale, half-price memberships will be available for purchase.

The Newcastle Public Library’s Brown Bag Book Discussion group meets monthly to discuss a selected book.
For its next discussion, set for 12:30 p.m. Thursday, May 17, the group is looking at “Violets of March” by Sarah Jio.
The book tells the story of love and fate through the eyes of a struggling author who is facing divorce from her husband. While visiting a beloved aunt, she discovers the diary of a mysterious woman.
