Learn more about downloading library materials with “Technology Tuesday” sessions

Get up to speed on the world of downloadable eBooks and learn how to use that new holiday eReader with help from the Newcastle Public Library.

The library is hosting the series “Technology Tuesday” throughout January to help give assistance with OverDrive, the distributor of the Pioneer Library System’s collection of downloadable materials. The sessions will take place from 11 a.m. to noon each Tuesday in January.

Participants are asked to bring their new device with them and also make sure they bring their library card. Devices that can be used to download books from the library include eReaders, smartphones, computers or iPads.

Don’t have a library card? Anyone who lives, works, goes to school or owns property in McClain, Cleveland or Pottawatomie County is eligible to get one for no charge.

Registration is not required to attend any of the programs.

For more information, visit the library or call 387-5076.
