Newcastle sets series of introductory computer classes throughout September

The Newcastle Public Library invites new computer users to a series of introductory computer classes throughout September at the library, 705 NW 10th St.

Classes are for ages 18 and up and will instruct in a variety of lessons for beginning computer users.

The schedule for September includes:

Basic Computer Skills, 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 4 – an introduction in keyboard and mouse skills

Email, 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 11 – learn to read, send and delete email, and also have a chance to set up an account from a free service

Internet, 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 18 – an introduction to searching online and fundamental Internet skills

Social Media, 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 25 – explore the world of social media and get the basics on several popular social networking websites

Registration is required separately for each class and may be completed at the library or by calling 387-5076.
