Like to read and tell other readers about it? The Newcastle Public Library has a discussion for all ages of readers through its four book discussion groups, each of which meet monthly.
Topics for this month’s talks are:
Forever Young Book Club, 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8 – “The Girl of Fire and Thorns” by Rae Carson. The group is for adults who enjoy reading young adult genre books.
Brown Bag Book Discussion Group, 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13 – Ages 18 and up are invited to join and discuss “The School of Essential Ingredients” by Erica Bauermeister. Attendees are invited to bring a sack lunch and enjoy snacks provided by the Friends of the Newcastle Library.
Teen Book Club, 4 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 13 – Teens will take part in discussion and a related craft on the book “Life as We Knew It” by Susan Beth Pfeffer. The group meets monthly throughout the school year for ages 13-18.
Tween Book Club, 4 p.m., Thursday, Feb 13 – Ages 9 to 12 have the chance for their own monthly discussion and related craft project as well. Their book for this month is “One Giant Leap” by Robert Burleigh. The group also will be provided snacks courtesy the Friends of the Newcastle Library.
