Hard as it is to think of with hot weather still surrounding the area, the time to consider getting a garden ready for a cold winter is just around the corner.
The Noble Public Library is here to help, offering the workshop “Putting Your Garden to Bed,” at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at the library, 204 N. 5th St.
Master Gardener Theresa January will share her tips and ideas on cover crops, tilling, mulching, protecting of top soil and more, in preparation for keeping gardens safe during the winter.
