Children's programming schedule has something for all in February
February brings the love with Valentine’s Day, and the Norman Public Library and its Children’s Department staff love offering special programming for children of all ages.
Join the library for Story Times for children up to preschool age five times a week, both in the library and also the Tuesday morning Story Time at Sooner Mall.
Also offered are the Wednesday Afterschool Special, with activities specifically geared to children slightly older, from kindergarten to second grade; the music and story programs Rhythm Babies, for children up to 3, and Library Music Connection, for ages 3 to 7, on Friday mornings; and Creative Space, a weekly offering on Thursday evenings, focusing on children in third through fifth grades.
The weekly schedule by date and time includes:
Monday
10 a.m. – Story Time, for children birth to pre-K
Tuesday
10 a.m. – Sooner Mall Story Time, for all ages and busy customers on the go
6 p.m. – Story Time, for children birth to pre-K
Wednesday
3:30 p.m. – Afterschool Special, for children in kindergarten through second grade.
Thursday
10 a.m. – Story Time, for children birth to pre-K
6:30 p.m. – Creative Space, for tweens in third through fifth grades
Friday
10 a.m. – Rhythm Babies, a music and story program for children birth to age 3
11 a.m. – Library Music Connection, a music and story program for children ages 3 to 7
Saturday
11 a.m. – Saturday Story Time, for children birth to pre-K, with a special invitation to the youngest infants and their families
