Check out March children’s program options in Norman
March brings the start of the transition from cold to warm, from winter to spring, and many options for families with children to take part in at the Norman Public Library.
Each week, choose from the following offerings at the library at these times:
Story Time, for children up to preschool age, 10 a.m. Mondays, 6 p.m. Tuesdays, 10 a.m. Thursdays and 11 a.m. Saturdays, as well as at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sooner Mall – One exception is Thursday, March 7, when Children’s librarians will be attending a special professional training.
Afterschool Special, for children kindergarten through 2nd grade, 3:30 p.m. Wednesdays
Creative Space, for tweens in third through fifth grade, 6:30 p.m. Thursdays
Rhythm Babies, for children up to age 3, 10 a.m. Fridays
Music Connection, for children age 3 to 7, 11 a.m. Fridays
In addition to these regular favorites, the library also will host its annual Bug Fest from 9 a.m. to noon March 20. The event takes place in partnership with the Cleveland County Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service and features activities and creepy-crawlies of many shapes and types.
