Take an adventure into the Whoniverse with Norman program

The Norman Public Library is providing local teens a Companion’s Guide to the Whoniverse for an adventure they’ll take starting at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, at the library, 225 N. Webster Ave.

Oklahoma Museum Network representatives are back at the library again to lead the program. They’re bringing several grueling tasks that teens will have to complete before they can be reunited with the Doctor.

It’s all based on the popular Doctor Who series, the British creation that has had more than 50 years of taking audiences into the world of the time-traveling doctor.

Registration is required in advance to be part of the program. It is for middle school or high school ages.

Major sponsors for this year’s Summer Reading Program are the Oklahoma Department of Libraries, the Institute of Museum and Library Services, Oklahoma Arts Council, Hitachi, Kirkpatrick Family Fund, The Anne and Henry Zarrow Foundation, Sonic, Oklahoma 529 College Savings Plan, The Oklahoman, the Pioneer Library System and the Pioneer Library System Foundation.

For more information, call the library at 701-2600.
