Learn how to “Fight the Internet Bad Guys and Win” at Norman workshop
Internet safety is a constantly changing business, with viruses and other issues that could slow down or ruin a computer constantly evolving and seeking new ways to cause trouble. And at the heart of those problems are a group of people a local computer security expert calls the “Internet Bad Guys.”
The Norman Public Library is ready to lend a helping hand, presenting the workshop “Fight the Internet Bad Guys and Win!” at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, in the Lowry Room of the library, 225 N. Webster Ave. The program is co-sponsored by the library and Republic Bank & Trust.
Local computer security expert Dave Moore will present the workshop, sharing ideas from his years of experience in keeping computers safe from dangers that can unknowingly pop up online.
Moore has 28 years of experience performing computer consulting, repairs, security and networking in the state and has taught many computer safety workshops for organizations. He also has written a weekly column for The Norman Transcript for many years.
The workshop is offered free of charge, but registration is required in advance to attend.
To register, visit the library, call 701-2697 or go online here .
