Get ahead in plans for the upcoming tax season with a Year End Tax Planning program, presented by the Norman Public Library at 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, in the Multipurpose Room at Norman City Hall, 201 W. Gray St. The program will take place at City Hall due to an upcoming flooring project in the library’s main meeting room.
Sean Hugo, Certified Public Accountant, will lead the workshop. He will focus on a variety of topics, beginning with new guidelines for filing 2013 tax returns and matters relevant to expense/income deferral or acceleration.
Other subjects to be covered include issues of owner compensation and benefit plan contributions and new Federal and State legislation impacting 2013 tax issues, including the Federal Health Care legislation and Small Business Jobs Act.
The workshop is co-sponsored by Moore Norman Technology Center, S.C.O.R.E. and the Pioneer Library System.
It’s offered free of charge but space is limited, so registration is required in advance to take part.
