Whether it’s social networking, downloadable books or the library’s database resources, the Shawnee Public Library has it all covered with several upcoming programs.
Each program takes place in the Computer Training Center of the library, 101 N. Philadelphia Ave. They include:
Portable Library Resources to Go, 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17 – The Pioneer Library System has several dozen databases for homework help, job searching, genealogy and more, and this class will give a look at many of them.
Facebook 101, 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18 – Learn about getting around one of the most popular social networking sites on the Internet.
Opt Into Overdrive, 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19 – Participants can learn how to download free content for their eReader, tablet or smartphone from the library’s Overdrive service. Anyone who has a mobile device already is encouraged to bring it.
