Shawnee Public Library
The library isn’t noted as a source for fixing a car, but there is in fact a useful resource offered for library cardholders on the topic of car repair.
It’s through the Chilton’s Auto Repair database, which adults ages 18 and up can learn how to use at a Shawnee Public Library workshop, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, in the Computer Training Center of the library, 101 N. Philadelphia Ave.
Chilton’s Auto Repair database provides information and diagnostics about an assortment of vehicles and step-by-step procedures for conducting repairs.
The database is one of about 60 offered by the Pioneer Library System for a variety of topics, including homework help, genealogy, newspaper archives and more.
Space is limited in the computer lab so registration is required to attend the programs.
