SOKC hosts classes on databases, computer skills

The Southwest Oklahoma City Public Library offers a variety of monthly classes on various computer skills and offerings available through the Pioneer Library System.
Classes take place in the Computer Training Center of the library, 2201 SW 134th St., and are offered free of charge. Registration is required in advance, either at the library, by calling 979-2200 or online.
Upcoming classes in January include:
Mouse Basics – 10 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 8 – For beginning computer users, whowill get a chance to get more familiar with utilizing a mouse as they navigate a computer.
Learn-A- Test, Prepare for the ACT – 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12 - High school-age students can learn about Learn-A-Test, a database offering available through the Pioneer Library System for standardized test preparation.
Job Now, 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19 – Participants can look at another of the library’s databases, which gives tips for job searching and making a resume.
