SOKC to celebrate Season of Thankfulness
The Southwest Oklahoma City Public Library is celebrating the season of giving thanks with a special program for the community.
The Season of Thankfulness program takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at the library, 2201 SW 134th St.
The day will feature gratitude-themed activities for all ages in preparation for the upcoming holiday season. The library’s Saturday Story Time, a regular event on the third Saturday of the month, will feature songs, stories and more for children beginning at 2:45 p.m.
The day also falls during the Pioneer Library System’s Food for Fines program. Cardholders may participate by bringing one can, box or bag of non-expired, non-perishable, unopened and undamaged food which may be exchanged for $1 credit each on fines, up to a maximum waiver of $20 off an account.
Donations also may be made by anyone without fines but just wanting to help the cause. All donations made to the Southwest Oklahoma City Public Library will be provided for the Moore Public Schools Food Pantry.
All activities at the program are offered free of charge, and no registration is required.
