Happy birthday, SOKC! Library celebrates with Birthday Bash
The Southwest Oklahoma City Public Library is celebrating its first birthday, and the entire community is invited.
A celebratory Birthday Bash will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, March 1, at the library, 2201 SW 134th St.
The afternoon features a variety of family-friendly activities, refreshments and time to share stories with staff about the library’s first year.
The library opened March 1, 2012, the 10th hometown library in the Pioneer Library System. In that time, it’s become the home library for nearly 7,000 cardholders who have enjoyed access to more than 774,000 items in the PLS collection, as well as programs for all ages put on by their favorite hometown librarians.
Registration is not required to take part in the Birthday Bash.
