Break New Ground in the Visual Arts at the Southwest Oklahoma City Public Library program of the same name, at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 11, in Rooms A and B of the library, 2201 SW 134th St.
The featured instructors for the class are Barbara Mansell Johnson and Steven Paul Judd.
Johnson began teaching oil painting lessons in 1978. She founded the Ms. B. Art Gallery in 1990 and has specialized for years in both abstract and contemporary art.
Judd is a Kiowa/Choctaw known primarily as a filmmaker. He has written several films, including Indian Graffiti: This Thing Life (2003), Search for the World’s Best Indian Taco (2010), and Shouting Secrets (2011). His creations also include paintings, prints, poster art, photography, and t-shirt designs.
