The Tecumseh Public Library will resume its popular Babygarten™ Story Time series for another six-week session beginning at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, at the library, 114 N. Broadway.
The story times are designed for ages 18 months and younger and their caregivers and feature rhymes, songs, a craft and playtime. Library Assistant Sue Walker leads the weekly programs, which will run each week at the same day and time through May 7.
The Babygarten™ program runs for six-week sessions, and Walker said it’s important for participants to try to attend through the whole series if possible.
The library also invites families with young children back at 11 a.m. on Thursdays for its Toddler Story Time each Thursday in April.
Walker and Cyndi Seeley will offer a variety of songs, stories and fingerplays for young children and their caregivers.
Also, the Pioneer Library System’s initiative Growing Like a Read will be introduced. Growing Like a Read promotes brain development for literacy skills in children from birth to age 4 through reading, talking, playing and singing. It is funded through a grant from the Inasmuch Foundation.
Registration is not required to take part in either program.
