Training for literacy tutors planned in Tecumseh
The Pioneer Library System is looking for volunteer tutors to help with its adult literacy training program. The Pottawatomie County Literacy Program will host a Literacy Tutor Training for prospective tutors at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25, at the Tecumseh Public Library, 114 N. Broadway.
The Pottawatomie County Literacy Program conducts assessments, arranges tutor/student matches, and provides curriculum and support for tutors and students.
The training is required for all tutors before they can be matched with a student.
Registration is required to attend and can be completed by calling Pottawatomie County Literacy Coordinator Beth Lyle at 273-3334.
