Hello Visitor,

PLS Foundation Logo2nd Annual Literally Yours

The Pioneer Library System Foundation invites the community to its second annual fall fundraiser, Literally Yours, from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5 at LOCAL, located at 2262 W. Main Street in Norman.

The evening of literature, libations and culinary creations will feature presentations by Milwaukee-based mixologists Ira Koplowitz and Nick Kosevich, who will create and serve signature cocktails for the evening. These cocktails will be paired with a three-course meal prepared especially for the occasion by renowned Chef Ryan Parrott of LOCAL.

Tickets for this one-of-a-kind event are $100 each and are available only through the PLS Foundation. Of that ticket price, $50 qualifies as a tax-deductible gift to the Foundation.

Children's Author Visits SOKC

Melonhead coverThe premise behind book #1 of the Melonhead children's book series is:
In the Washington, D.C. neighborhood of Capitol Hill, Lucy Rose's friend Adam "Melonhead" Melon is a budding inventor with a knack for getting into trouble. He enters a science contest that challenges students to recycle an older invention into a new invention. This little contest opens the door for non-stop adventure for the young Melonhead.

Katy Kelly, is the author of the popular "Melonhead" series and she'll be visiting the Pioneer Library System in October!

She will visit the SOKC Library on Sunday October 7, to talk about her new book and sign copies of the books in the "Melonhead" series.

Her talk will take place at 2:30 p.m. Copies of the book will be available for purchase with cash only.

This is her only stop in our 3 county area - so we hope to see you and your family at this fun author event!
