March & April - Big Read 2013

Old School

Big Read 2013 takes the reader to New England in the early 1960s, through the Tobias Wolff novel Old School

This coming of age story follows a young man trying to find his place and fulfill his dreams of being a writer. Through his development, themes of tradition, class, and self-identity are explored. Old School is a novel that celebrates American literature while it tells a heartwarming coming of age story.

You won't want to miss the chance to hear Tobias Wolff speak about his work on April 26.
