Branch Manager Position
Location: Norman Public Library/Pioneer Library System
Salary: Full-time position; 40 hours per week
Annual salary: $50,532 base (Grade 12), based on qualifications and experience, plus excellent benefits package
Open until filled-1st interviews will begin after May 12, 2014
Master’s degree in Library Science from a graduate school accredited by the
American Library Association preferred,
Five years relevant library-related experience,
Three years supervisory experience,
Or equivalent technical training, education, and/or experience.
Ability to obtain a valid OK driver’s license.
Lift up to 25 lbs., retrieve/replace items from floor level to at least 5 ½ feet high.
Work a flexible schedule which will include evenings and weekends.

Demonstrates supervision and management principles;
Displays collaborative leadership skills and talents;
Conceptualizes and implements strategic plans;
Exhibits a user-focused customer service philosophy;

Participates in system-wide committees and initiatives;
Effective project management and planning;
Demonstrates a commitment to the library’s mission;
Fosters community partnerships and services for diverse communities.
