Have fun creating a unique house or structure to enter into one of three categories in the contest. Categories are Kids ages 8-12, Teens ages 13-17, and Adults 18 & up. Any architectural structure such as a house, train station, spaceship, or lighthouse, is eligible for entry and must be no larger than 15"x15"x15". All entries must be original and made from edible materials. No gingerbread kits allowed. No graham crackers may be used on the basic structure of the house, but can be used as a decoration such as a shutter, etc.

Entries will be received at the library on Tuesday, December 1st between 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and will be displayed from December 2-18 for voting for the People's Choice Award. All other winners will be chosen by judges. Only one entry per person. No professionals please.

Ribbons will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each category. A People's Choice winner will be voted on by library visitors who may vote once a day on their favorite house. The Grand Prize Winner will be chosen by judges. The People's Choice and Grand Prize Winner will each receive a ribbon as well as gift certificates from local businesses.

Come by the library at 114 N. Broadway for a complete set of contest rules, information, and an entry form. Library employees and their immediate family are not eligible for this contest. Call 598-5955 for more information.
